Description:
Even the most well-behaved child may have trouble staying put for too long and can become short on patience once she's done with her meal. That's not to say that you should always plan on skipping dessert. Going to a new location after lunch or dinner can allow you to extend your outing while providing a change of scenery -- hence many new things to look at and discover. Of course, the same guidelines apply when selecting a place to go for an after-meal snack. Avoid loud, noisy places that will take a long time to be seated. Ice cream parlors, bakeries and outdoor cafes are quick and have delicious treats for everyone.
